10 Predictions For WWE SmackDown Superstar Shake-Up Tonight

8. Sami Zayn Finally Gets An Opportunity

Sami Zayn has been lost at sea on Monday Night Raw. He defeated Kevin Owens in an outstanding clash at Battleground last year, but has accomplished precisely nothing since. Sami was great in his role as Braun Strowman’s whipping boy a few months ago, but he has become nothing more than a lovable loser, and that doesn’t look like changing while he’s still on Raw.

It'd be a mutually beneficial deal. Raw would lose a bit-part player, but SD would gain a potential superstar, and Sami would likely receive plenty of opportunities to flourish. Such chances have continually eluded him since joining the main roster, but SD has specialised in turning ailing careers around since last year’s draft, and given Zayn’s enduring popularity, the crowd would definitely be behind such a push.

Sami doesn’t need to become an instant title contender, but he certainly deserves better. The only thing he’s lacking at the moment is a little direction, and he’s never going to overtake the likes of Finn Balor to become Raw’s top babyface. Expect his name to be near the top of Daniel Bryan’s list, and for Zayn to make the jump.
