10 Predictions For WWE's Brand Split 2016

6. Roman Reigns Will Headline Raw And John Cena Will Headline Smackdown

WWE Draft 2

This one feels like a dead cert. Despite the crowd reactions, WWE still clearly see Roman Reigns as their top guy going forward, and they’ll continue to build their shows around him. He’s going nowhere any time soon.

Cena, for all his flaws, still has at least another couple of main event years left in him. He’s the perfect guy to lead the ailing Smackdown brand at this point, particularly if the WWE choose to go down the same route as 2002 by showcasing their top in-ring performers on Tuesday nights.

As one-sided as his feuds can be, Cena remains an outstanding big match performer who can help mould the likes of Sami Zayn and Cesaro as his full-time career winds down.

Reigns and Cena must be kept apart. They’re too divisive among fans to exist on the same brand, and given both of their statuses within the company, they’d have to feud with each other sooner rather than later.

Barring a full-on Roman Reigns heel turn, there’s absolutely no need to pit these two against each other (at least not yet).
