2. Cena Should Be Putting Someone Else Over
At WrestleMania XXX, an intense rivalry between Cena and Bray Wyatt culminated in a disappointingly clean win for the babyface, a result which unquestionably damaged Bray's momentum. At WrestleMania 31, an intense rivalry between Cena and Rusev culminated in a disappointingly clean win for the b...oh. Can you imagine where Wyatt or Rusev would be now, if they'd just been given the rub over John Cena at WrestleMania? Since their respective losses, both heels have fallen firmly into the "bark worse than bite" category - intimidating opponents and cutting passionate promos, but rarely picking up any big, meaningful wins. Had Cena lost either of those matches, it's unlikely that his legacy would have suffered at all in the long run. He has a personal collection of groundbreaking WrestleMania moments, with victories over Triple H, The Rock, Shawn Michaels and Batista. He doesn't need to face the Undertaker at the event (and he certainly doesn't need to win). Cena would be much better utilised to finally, finally put a younger star over on the grandest stage of all. Think what a moment that could be for a superstar such as Dean Ambrose or Cesaro.
