10 Problems With Sheamus As WWE World Heavyweight Champion

3. People Want Fresh Heels

For the last decade or so, the WWE have presented the fans with a lot of the same performers on top, whether it€™s John Cena and Randy Orton, or have relied on legends like The Undertaker, Triple H and others.

There have been a lot of guys elevated into the main event scene for a couple of months like Dolph Ziggler and Daniel Bryan, but most of them would inevitably be given a ridiculously short amount of time to get over and when they couldn€™t do it (or weren't allowed to), we€™d go back to the evaporating Orton/Cena well.

Sheamus has won the WWE World Title three times in the past and he€™s been pushed relatively well but the fans don€™t buy him as a main event heel or babyface. In 2015, fans are ready for a change, they are clamouring for new guys at the top of the card from both a heel and babyface perspective.

Sheamus won his first WWE Title five years ago, and his characrer has gotten staler and staler in the time since. What the fans want is fresh, and Sheamus is fast approaching his sell by date.

There was a new, fresh heel on the scene that would have been a much better candidate for the position Sheamus currently occupies...
