10 Problems With WrestleMania 38 Nobody Wants To Admit
6. Brock Lesnar Vs. Roman Reigns Is A Stale Main Event
Brock Lesnar and Roman Reigns are easily the two biggest names in the entire WWE today. Every time they step in the ring together it's memorable. So it makes sense then that this is the main event for the second night of WrestleMania 38. It makes sense, but is it best for business?
Since becoming a solo act in 2014, Roman Reigns has been programmed against Brock Lesnar on numerous occasions, including 2 previous matches at WrestleMania in 2015 and 2018. They've also competed for the top prize in WWE at other PPVs, even as recently as Crown Jewel in 2021. In short, the match feels stale.
We've seen this before, so what can either man bring to WrestleMania 38 that's going to make the feud feel fresh? Babyface Brock has already been beaten by Roman Reigns so even the switch in dynamics as far as who is the heel has already been done before.
As much as people want to talk about how big the match is, and the potential ramifications of its title versus title stipulation going forward, what people should actually be discussing is how we've seen every possible variation of this feud several times over and it's the least spectacular main event the company could have come up with, with is ironic really.
