10 Problems With WrestleMania 38 Nobody Wants To Admit

2. The 'Stone Cold' And Kevin Owens Build Up Has Been Weak

The last time 'Stone Cold' Steve Austin did anything memorable at a WrestleMania event was back in 2003, meaning it's been 19 years since we last saw 'The Texas Rattlesnake' in a WWE ring, outside of one-off appearances in which he drinks a beer and hits a Stunner.

After almost 2 decades away, it should have been the biggest story of the season to have Austin making a comeback - even if it isn't really going to be a match. But instead of some super-cool build, WWE instead opted to have Kevin Owens start talking trash about Texas and the taste of beer, which apparently is enough to bring 'Stone Cold' out of retirement.

The build to Steve Austin and Kevin Owens' showdown has been a complete miss, despite Kevin's stellar work on the microphone. Having Owens show up in a bald cap, pretending to be his nemesis made for a quick laugh, but was too reminiscent of the comedic skits Austin was a part of during his so-so run as co-GM of RAW.

How do you botch the comeback of perhaps your biggest Superstar of all time? Just ask the WWE creative team. They seem to know a thing or two about spoiling big returns.
