10 Problems WWE Solved With The 2019 Superstar Shake-Up

6. Splitting Go-Nowhere Groups

This may not be a popular entry, but WWE did Chad Gable and every Sanity member favours in this year's Superstar Shake-Up.

Eric Young was drafted to Raw, splitting his chaotic group with hilarious flippancy, and it now looks like Alexander Wolfe is on his way back to NXT. This is a positive move. Sanity was a '90s wrestling act that was never going to get over on the main roster, even though they weren't exactly given an abundance of opportunities to do so. Their shtick came off corny, outdated, and unbelievable. They were over in NXT, but everyone is over in NXT. Sending the trio in different directions suits them all: Young can become a gatekeeper, Wolfe can find his feet with a new act in developmental, and Killian Dain can embark upon an overdue singles run.

Chad Gable was relieved of the Bobby Roode-shaped millstone around his neck, with the Shake-Up sending him to SmackDown. He'd worked hard to get their act over, but there was only so much he could do with Roode's damaged goods, and he, too, is better off on his own.
