10 Questions Every WWE Tag Team Should Ask Each Other
7. What's Our Look?
This question may not seem as serious and important as the other questions tag teams should ask one another, but truth be told, it’s an incredibly important part of being in a tag team. There are several ways you can go as far as what your look will be, and all of them say something about a team, not only to their opponents, but to the fans watching.
Take for instance the legendary Road Warriors, Hawk and Animal. From the moment you laid eyes on them you knew they were a problem. Spiked shoulder pads, powerful colours, and war paint, were their way of letting everyone know that they are here to fight and destroy everyone in their path.
It’s not all about intimidation though. Simply colour co-ordinating lets people know that you are on the same page as a team, and that neither member is trying bust out on their own.
Here are some simple rules for tag team ring gear: Wearing ring gear that doesn’t match is unacceptable (there are exceptions to the rule like The New Age Outlaws, but for the most part this rule is hard and fast).
Matching ring gear is an absolute must if you’re going to be a successful tag team, whether it be matching colour schemes, matching trunk style, matching face paint, etc.
That being said, identical ring gear isn’t cool, as each guy needs to have some individuality.
