10 Quick Fixes For WWE In 2018

7. Let The Cruiserweights Fly Free

The wrestlers themselves try hard, but 205 Live isn't quite the 'most exciting hour on television' that WWE's announcers claim it to be. In fact, it's downright boring at times because there's little to differentiate the in-ring style from what fans can see on major shows like Raw and SmackDown. Surely the entire point of the program was to help Cruiserweight wrestling stand out.

WWE need a change of tact if 205 is ever going capture fan imagination, because right now most matches play out like the heavyweight bouts do, only pitting smaller, less-interesting characters against one another. Where's the flying that WCW's old Cruiser ranks had in the 90's? Aside from a few brief flurries from Kalisto or Mustafa Ali, it's completely absent.

In 2018, it'd be wise to remove the shackles from everyone involved in the Cruiserweight division and let them wrestle like individuals. There are too many headlock sequences or standard punch/kick spots. We want a quicker pace and to feel like the Cruisers do things the heavyweights can't.
