3. Revolve PPV's Less Around Gimmicks

Ever since they held the first Hell In A Cell pay-per-view back in 2009, it feels like WWE have been booking themselves into a corner. Shows like Extreme Rules had been reliant on gimmicks beforehand, but they were exceptions rather than the rule. Now, the only reason Cell bouts take place is because it's that time on the calendar.

This is a stale method, and it has to go. Events like Money In The Bank, Elimination Chamber and TLC are played out. All of these gimmicks could do with a breather. If WWE proceed, then creative will be forced to come up with place holding scenarios in 2018, like Baron Corbin pointlessly becoming Mr. MITB this year or wrestlers working Hell In A Cell just because it's October.

There was a time when these big gimmick matches meant something. They happened organically rather than because the writers were going through the motions. Revolve your monthly specials less around match types and more around the feuds and characters working them, please.
