10 Quick Fixes For WWE’s Struggling Superstars

2. Roman Reigns - A(nother) Shield Reunion

WWE by hook and crook alike have somehow managed to preserve The Shield as the most beloved present day act in the organisation. One only need to hark back to their brilliantly drawn-out 2017 return. Anchored by a rebuilt relationship between Dean Ambrose and Seth Rollins, their reunification with Roman Reigns resulted in rapturous applause from the Monday Night Raw faithful. The whole faithful. With actual faith.

'The Big Dog' has been the most despised WWE headliner...well...ever, now for going on four years, and yet for the briefest period he was on the end of unanimous cheers thanks to the support his substantially cooler friends generated. It extended to promos, matches and everything they were involved in, with Roman even appearing enthused by a reaction he actually knew what to do with.

An Ambrose/Rollins feud looks a certainty whenever 'The Lunatic Fringe' returns to the fold, but it wouldn't half do Roman the biggest favour to get one more run in the flack jacket first. A permanent fix? Absolutely not. A solution to rebuild him from one of the most catastrophic title rivalries in company history? Absolutely.
