Tedium is the name of the game in WWE right now. With so much TV time to fill, and with creative team not being all that creative, we're given the same matches over and over again. The worst part is, the announcers usually don't even bother to mention that what we're watching is a rematch. For example, we saw Alicia Fox and AJ Lee fight in five one-on-matches on TV within the span of one month. Since Fox isn't really protected anymore (she didn't win a single one of the matches cleanly), she's essentially a jobber. Rusev and Zack Ryder have also faced off five times on Raw in singles matches in the span of months. No promo time for either guy, no angle, just a match repeatedly booked. WWE should consider bringing in half-a-dozen or so designated jobbers to tour with the company. Their main job is to simply make the actual superstars look good. They would even job to guys like Ryder and Heath Slater, so when a regular talent destroys them, it actually means something. The talent that WWE brings on aren't going to become millionaires, but will still make a decent living. They're just there to sell like no one's business. Give them a name, a little bit of a character and that's it. While having jobbers take over in some Raw and SmackDown matches isn't the most exciting choice, it will give the regular roster a break and save them from overexposure. That's a very small price to pay in the long run.
As Rust Cohle from True Detective said "Life's barely long enough to get good at one thing. So be careful what you're good at."
Sadly, I can't solve a murder like Rust...or change a tire, or even tie a tie. But I do know all the lyrics to Hulk Hogan's "Real American" theme song and can easily name every Natural Born Thriller from the dying days of WCW. I was once ranked 21st in the United States in Tetris...on the Playstation 3 version...for about a week.
