10 Radical Ideas To Save WrestleMania 32

5. The Intercontinental Championship

With Roman Reigns almost certain to be in the WWE World Heavyweight Championship at Wrestlemania, either defending or challenging, his comedy sidekick Dean Ambrose should retain the secondary strap heading into Wrestlemania. I like the idea of the McMahons/The Authority muscling in on Ambrose and his support of Reigns by having him face a mystery opponent at Wrestlemania€ and that opponent being Triple H€™s pet NXT project Finn Balor. The visual of Balor arriving in WWE as The Demon at Wrestlemania is huge, and the moment would define Fergal Devitt€™s career. Balor€™s also been teasing heelishness for a while now - at a recent NXT house show he played heel champion against a challenging Sami Zayn. NXT TakeOver: Dallas is two days before Wrestlemania, and Balor is almost certain to be defending his NXT Championship against Sami Zayn or Samoa Joe (or both). They could either have him pull double duty and retain the NXT title and win the Intercontinental title, or have him transition to the main roster now and drop the NXT title. Regardless, this sugar-free, fat-free, danger-free, Wacky Races version of the Lunatic Fringe doesn€™t get to go over the Demon Balor at Wrestlemania. Finn annihilates him.
