10 Radical Ideas To Save WrestleMania 32

4. The Rocky Angle

The Rock is confirmed to attend Wrestlemania 32, but scuttlebutt (like gossip with a hefty insurance bond) is that he€™ll be too legally tied up in movie-making to actually wrestle on the night. Assuming that€™s the case, an appearance similar to his segment at Wrestlemania 31 is on the cards. Since Ronda Rousey is in a similar position regarding her own film career, I wouldn€™t count on her attending Wrestlemania this year for a repeat of the Authority bashing moment from last year. For me, that leaves The New Day as the perfect comic foils for The Rock€™s kindergarten brand of babyface bullying. There€™s potential for a great Wrestlemania moment here, though - what if The New Day were to come out to interrupt The Rock€™s Wrestlemania promo to proclaim that stars from the past should stay in the past, and, during the verbal back and forth, insult the WWE Hall Of Fame Class Of 2016? That leads to a big moment, as Sting arrives on the Wrestlemania stage to answer the implied challenge. New Day and The Rock throw down a little, Big E is thrown out of the ring and we get the clean visual of Rocky and Sting applying (respectively) the Sharpshooter and the Scorpion Deathlock on Kingston and Woods. Releasing the holds after everyone€™s had time to get a photo of the moment, Big E comes stumbling back into the ring to eat a classic People€™s Elbow to end the segment. Job done, both babyface legends pose on the turnbuckles for the crowd to lap it up as the next match gets ready to kick off.
