10 Rare Backstage Moments Between Wrestling Couples

8. The Miz & Maryse

Backstage because of where it's literally taking place and rare because nobody remembers or gives a f*ck about midcard stories from 2009-2012 inclusive, this shot captures future husband and wife The Miz and Maryse early in their real-life and (abandoned) on screen courtship.

It's...not great telly, all things considered. Miz feels as directed by Vince McMahon as he ever has in his entire life, all growling and scarcely believable salivating chauvinism, while Maryse is scripted to give his advances a firm "No" before leaving a lingering look that he may have charmed her after all.

Miz makes a noise with his teeth at one point so repulsive that the former Divas Champion did well not to remain stuck with the above face of disgust for the rest of her career. The pair's chemistry IRL has become crucial to their brand in present day, and this stuff may be cute for the Mizanin children to enjoy when they're older. As for the rest of us mere mortals, it's probably best to stick to one of their reality TV vehicles.
