4. Carmella & Big Cass

Happier times for Carmella and Big Cass here, as both prepared to make their WrestleMania debuts in 2017 following phenomenally successful runs in the beloved golden era of NXT years prior.

The two were no longer together on screen, but - as evidenced by their appearances on Total Divas at the time - were planning for the future behind the scenes. At that particular 'Show Of Shows', Enzo & Cass worked a celebrated ladder match that included the explosive return of Matt and Jeff Hardy to WWE after nearly a decade away, while Carmella was unsuccessful in her efforts to win the SmackDown Women's Championship on the same card. Things would be very different for both the following year.

After splitting from Enzo in 2017, Cass went down injured in what was set to be the last match between the two. His return shortly after WrestleMania 34 in 2018 lasted just over a month before he was fired. By then, 'The Princess Of Staten Island' held the title she'd failed to win at the first attempt, following a Money In The Bank cash-in on Charlotte Flair.
