10 Reasons Ambrose Vs Rollins Is The New Triple H Vs Michaels

9. Exceptional Mic Skills

Two Superstars can have a stellar series of matches, but if neither of them can cut a promo, their feud is essentially dead in the water. Every feud has to be built up somehow and it doesn't come solely through in-ring action. What else is the pre-match video package going to be made up of? Luckily, both Triple H and Shawn Michaels were masters of the mic. The promos leading up to their clash at SummerSlam 2002 were exceptional and it made for one of the best vignettes from that time period. Promos add an extra layer to any rivalry and they were one of the leading reasons why the feud between HBK and HHH was as personal as it was. Dean Ambrose was an excellent mic worker long before he ever joined WWE and the quality of his signs never decreased once he did sign. Seth Rollins, on the other hand, was never as good on the stick. Most of his promos during the days of The Shield were either hit or miss and there was a lot of concern when he turned heel in June that he wouldn't be able to hold his own in promos. That said, he's come a long way in the last five months and has been able to go toe-to-toe on the mic with the likes of Ambrose, John Cena and others. In fact, the talking segments between Ambrose and Rollins have been the best parts of Raw and SmackDown as of late.
