The 'it' factor in WWE matters. In defining what 'it' is, you would have to put it down to a character magnetism and perception of stardom. When you have this wrestling X factor, you are a made man, you get relaxed in it, you enjoy the success of being 'the man.' Batista in 2014 doesn't have this quality. One of his biggest problems right now is that he's just another guy. Having spent the best part of the initial 2000's decade as having 'it', he has obviously struggled to come to terms with no longer being that guy, he clearly can't stand just being a supporting act on the roster. That's understandable in some ways. When Batista first got over back in 2005 he was as big a star as they come, way bigger than John Cena was at that time. He went on to continued success as the face of Smackdown for the rest of that decade, enjoying a perception as the number 2 guy in WWE. Having been away a few years, he has lost that 'it' factor. There are bigger stars on the roster and that's made Batista an unhappy camper. He figured he could get his old act back, reality proved he couldn't.
