6. The WWE Schedule Is Far Tougher

Pro Wrestling NOAH, like many other Japanese promotions, operates on a touring basis. This means that they run a three or four week-long tour, followed by a three or four week break, followed by another three or four week tour, and so on. Operating like this allows the talent to rest and recuperate between tours, as the style of wrestling in NOAH is very tough physically. The late Steve Dr Death Williams, a Japanese mainstay for most of his career, would famously relocate to Hawaii for his off time, as he found that the best way to heal his body was to lie on Waikiki Beach for a few weeks! In the WWE, its a totally different animal. The schedule is non-stop. Raw and Smackdown are broadcast every week. There are house shows every week. Only the end of year holidays offers a short break from the grind. For this reason, KENTA will need to adapt his style (hence the announcement that he'll be starting out in NXT). It will also be a shock to his system, as his body wont be used to performing night in, night out, without the break that it is used to. There will be no time for injuries to heal, unless he wants to be on the shelf for a period of time, which is frowned upon in the competitive world of the WWE. Youre expected to gut it through aches and pains, unless of course, something serious occurs. The schedule, after all, and the lack of recuperation time was a major factor in CM Punk quitting the promotion.
