The WrestleMania XXX victory over The Undertaker was not only the biggest in Lesnar's career, it was the most shocking in pro wrestling history. After all, the Streak was believed to be untouchable, the one constant in an ever-changing wrestling industry. Fans held it as sacred, a symbol of their youth. Those who had not watched wrestling in years would return every March to partake in the Road to WrestleMania and see which unlucky soul would be next on Undertaker's lengthy list of victims. Victims, of course, because he would never lose at the event he had been so readily associated with. Right? Wrong. Lesnar's win over the Deadman propelled him into title contention, making a WWE World Heavyweight Championship match an inevitability. The win over John Cena was the type of win no other Superstar of the last decade would EVER be allowed to notch. He dominated Cena, tossing him around the ring with reckless abandon and taking great joy in punishing him. That win established Lesnar as the top dog in WWE, a dog with rabies that would bite you without warning just to watch you cry. Taking the title off of him shortly after he displayed such dominance over Cena would undermine not only that match but also the win over Undertaker that put Lesnar in title contention in the first place. It would undo every bit of booking done to get him where he is now and would leave both industry icons wondering why they sacrificed to get Lesnar over to the extent that they did if the goal was to beat him so soon afterward.
