10 Reasons Brock Lesnar Must Have A Long WWE Title Reign
3. The Final Test For Roman Reigns
While we have already dissected potential matches with John Cena and The Rock, the most important match awaiting Lesnar is a showdown with the hottest star in the sport today, Roman Reigns. The juggernaut has torn through everyone put in front of him, notching pinfall victories over former heavyweight champions such as Kane, Randy Orton, Triple H and Batista over the last four months. It is clear that WWE sees him as the next face of the company, the star that can guide the promotion well into the future and ensure its long-term health. What better way to put him over than on the grand stage of WrestleMania by having him be the guy to knock off Lesnar and win the heavyweight title? It would have to be at WrestleMania, though, because a win at Survivor Series or TLC or Elimination Chamber does not carry the weight that a coronation at the Showcase of the Immortals does. It is the grandeur, the pomp and circumstance, the spectacle that helps give that uniqueness to a Superstar's first championship victory that other shows simply cannot claim. There would be no better way to announce to fans that Roman Reigns is the undisputed face of WWE's next generation than by having him be the Superstar to prove capable enough of knocking off the otherwise unbeatable Lesnar.
