10 Reasons Christian Deserves WWE Hall Of Fame Induction

3. He's An Innovator

In the nineties, WWF fans had a very clear idea of what a Ladder Match was. They were exciting, but they had a slower pace than we€™re used to now, and the psychology between the competitors was more prominent. Everything changed at No Mercy 1999 when Edge and Christian faced The Hardy Boyz in the first ever tag team Ladder Match at the end of their Best of Five series. Unlike before, it was hectic and brutal, and fans saw a new kind of action that many had never seen before in professional wrestling. Over the next few years both teams, along with The Dudley Boyz, would be the driving force behind innovating and popularising the Tables, Ladders and Chairs match. These days, TLC is so beloved that WWE have devoted their December PPV to it, but no-one has yet to come close to those classic encounters from the early 2000s. Those six men set the standard for a new millenium, and so much of what came after is thanks to the efforts of those three teams. While the Hardyz and Dudleys are still on the outs with WWE, Christian can still be thanked for his contribution to the industry by joining Edge in the WWE Hall of Fame.
