10 Reasons CM Punk Left WWE At The Worst Time

5. The Birth Of The WWE Network

The WWE Network was a dream come true for many fans around the world that had always wanted full access to the Superstars and matches they loved. The Network itself was an entity that perhaps appeared to many fans as something that would never get off the ground but when it did, it got over in a very big way. However, of all the press that was done in preparation for the launch as well as the work being done now, the one man missing from the equation is CM Punk. Punk would have been a great spokesperson for the network, an unlikely ambassador to those outside of fans circles. Unlike John Cena, Hulk Hogan and Triple H, Punk does not look like the typical WWE Superstar. When non-wrestling fans look at Punk, they see a regular guy, someone that could be their neighbor or their best friend. It's that normality, that ordinary appearance, that could actually draw in new fans to the WWE product. Much the same way that Stone Cold Steve Austin did during The Attitude Era, Punk could have reached a wider audience; the new face of WWE to the outside world and the entire scenario could very easily have been on par with The Summer of Punk back in 2011. Some fans may doubt the company would have used Punk in this way but if it had, he would have gotten over due to his personality and his down to earth vibe that would be very inviting for anyone on the fence about giving the network a try.
