10 Reasons CM Punk Might Actually Succeed In UFC

4. He Has A Great Team

Following up on the last point - CM Punk's training level is going to be top-tier. He's not training with a couple of guys he threw together. Arguably, that was Lesnar and Death Clutch (which also consisted of Pat Berry and undefeated Bellator heavyweight champion Cole Konrad, though both, like Lesnar, are now retired). And even then, Lesnar and Konrad, and to a lesser extent Berry, found great success.

No, Punk is training with two champions in Anthony Pettis and Ben Askren, both of whom have been champions in multiple promotions, as well as top-tier fighters like Tyron Woodley and Alan Belcher. Roufusport, the fight camp he's working with, has one of the best striking coaches in North America in Duke Roufus, and one of the best wrestlers in MMA in Askren.

That's a huge advantage when you consider that his first opponent is likely to be someone training at their local gym.
