9. There Have Been Creative Issues In WWE All Year
There were multiple issues that caused Punk to leave WWE. He was upset about some of the payments he felt like he should receive, he had a lot of injuries that WWE didn't allow to heal properly and he had major concerns with the creative team. Punk is the kind of wrestler that is very hands on with everything he did. One of the things he kept saying on the podcast was that he was always interested in knowing what was next for him. He would listen to the suggestions from the creative team, then he would ask what they had for him after that and a lot of the time they said they would just figure it out. That did not instill confidence in him. If you have paid close attention to WWE programming this year, it's been obvious that they have creative issues. Whether the problem is Vince, Hunter or just the team itself, they have done a poor job of telling interesting stories. There are logic holes all over the place while the long term planning is really bad or even non-existent. There was a funny point in the podcast when Punk was complaining about how WWE thought Batista vs. Randy Orton was going to be this amazing match at WrestleMania. Thankfully they came to their senses and added Daniel Bryan to the main event (Punk did say that was the right move), but it just shows the creative team's mindset. A wrestler has a lot to do without really thinking of creative issues. He has to stay in shape, heal from injuries, deliver promos when given a chance and most importantly have great matches. If he's out there having doubts about the creative teams then he's not going to happy. That's what happened with Punk.
