10 Reasons You Should Be Excited For Sting Vs Triple H
6. The Baseball Bat Vs The Sledgehammer
There are many tools of destruction that have been used throughout the years in this history of pro wrestling. The steel chair, the ladder, the table, the kendo stick, even a VCR (thank you ECW). What started with just a couple different weapons in the 70's and 80's to the evolution of Extreme, there have been many weapons used through the business. When you are talking about the business of pro wrestling, and mention the bat and the sledgehammer, you know immediately who is associated with them. Sting would debut his baseball bat at the same time he debuted his "Crow" persona. With the aid of his baseball bat, Sting would be the first wrestler to stand up to the nWo. When Sting would point his baseball bat to his opponent, you knew he meant business. At Summerslam in 2002, Triple H would debut his most durable best friend in the sledgehammer in his street fight against a returning Shawn Michaels. For the next 12 years after, Triple H would use the sledgehammer dozens of times to assist him. A Sting v. Triple H match would have some symbolism associated with it when you bring the bat and the sledgehammer into play.
