10 Reasons Fans Stick With WWE Through The Worst Of Times

8. Diamonds In The Rough

€œJohn Cena sucks. He sucked ten years ago, he sucks now and he€™ll always suck. And the WWE sucks as long as Cena is on top. Randy Orton sucks too. Also, Big Show, Mark Henry, Sheamus, and the Miz. They all suck.€ You€™ll hear a lot of this kind of negativity from WWE critics. No fan is ever going to like everyone on the roster. People will always have their favourites and those that they simply don€™t care about, or, hate with an absolute passion. But even when the roster seems incredibly thin, there€™s always a few diamonds in the rough. The Internet Wrestling Community lost a big diamond when CM Punk parted ways with the WWE and, since Daniel Bryan has been out on injury, sure, it€™s been tough. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Wy-bQaNdyX4 But true WWE fans won€™t let a few of their departed favourites stop them from watching. There€™s always that guy who can sell a move better than anyone or that mid card performer with the strangely good mic skills. Where Cena, Orton and Batista may have some fans changing the channel, it seems entirely plausible that guys like Seth Rollins, Dean Ambrose, Roman Reigns, Dolph Ziggler and Cesaro are keeping people tuned in.

I am a writer and stand-up comedian living in Montreal, Quebec, Canada. I didn't witness the Bret Hart screw job in person, but I did watch the Breaking Point PPV live and that was terrible it its own way. I am dangerously obsessed with professional wrestling and its surrounding culture. I am the current ring announcer for a local fed called the IWS. I got to introduce Tommy Dreamer a while back. My head almost exploded. I am a mark, and proud of it. I also co-host a podcast called Go Plug Yourself, which has featured quite a few local wrestlers and even Mick Foley. Speaking of the Mickster, I once got to be his warmup act when he was in town for comiccon. My head actually exploded that time. I've recovered... sort of.
