3. The Reason To Stay Signed Up To WWE Network
What drives all WWE decisions these days is the WWE Network subscribers. An average of a million subscribers a month is needed for the company to make the project work, something which they aren't achieving right now. That in turn puts pressure on them to try new things in getting subscribers retained. Going with the freshness of Owens and Lesnar at SummerSlam could be that hook. A rematch of Lesnar vs Rollins from Battleground might not be the new content needed to retain the more casual subscribers. But Owens versus Lesnar would be a first time ever sell, which should traditionally always mean added intrigue. Then there's all the buzz that the booking would create, which would represent way more chatter than anything else WWE could go with. Just look at what's been the most talked about hottest feud of the past two months, Kevin Owens versus John Cena. Now imagine how much hotter it would be with Lesnar in the Cena role.
