Impact Wrestling is going through a rather turbulent time. Having lost a great deal of their top talent, the company are hoping their WrestleMania equivalent, Slammiversary, can drum up some much-needed enthusiasm.

Jeff Jarrett recently returned with his Global Force Wrestling brand in tow. Merging the two promotions has brought about two active World Champions, Lashley and Alberto (formerly Del Rio) El Patron. Both men are legitimate MMA competitors, and will bring an intriguing mesh of styles to their 'title-for-title' encounter.

The rest of the card features some questionable inclusions, such as former WWE commentator, Josh Matthews, and former NFL running back, DeAngelo Williams, taking part in tag team matches. The Full Metal Mayhem Mixed Tag is certainly unique, but could certainly be entertaining if done well.

The sure-fire show-stealer will be Sonjay Dutt and Low Ki going head-to-head for the prestigious X-Division Championship. These two hugely underrated veterans will be given the opportunity they so thoroughly deserve in the form of a 2-out-of-3 falls match.

Whatever your views on Impact, they hold a peculiar place in the wrestling landscape, and should not be ignored entirely for their past mistakes. July 2nd's Slammiversary XV could provide the perfect mix of high-quality wrestling and all-round entertainment to be the catalyst for Impact's rebirth.
