4. A Part Time Champion Leads To A Lack Of Continuity
Whenever Brock Lesnar gets on any kind of a roll, and establishes his dominance, he vanishes from the WWE. It's not his fault, but when you are a part time performer, chances are we won't see you on RAW. A victory over The Undertaker at WrestleMania would make your career. That wrestler would be pushed each and every week, and it would be both The Undertaker and the WWE's way of endorsing you as the future of the business. Instead, we saw Lesnar the following night on RAW, but would not see him again for months until the weeks leading up to SummerSlam. The WWE missed their opportunity to create a new star with The Undertaker's defeat. After being iced for months, Lesnar reemerges to defeat John Cena and become the WWE Champion at SummerSlam. Since August, Lesnar has had one title defense, and has been missing since September 21st. How can the WWE further story lines if their champion is off more dates than he works? WWE had the same issue when The Rock became champion prior to WrestleMania 29. Even when he joined RAW via satellite the crowd would boo since he wasn't there in the arena. Resentment starts to kick in with the other wrestlers who are there every week, and are wrestling even when their bodies are banged up. The WWE Champion needs to be there every week with the rest of the talent in that locker room.
