3. No Moment Is Too Big

Not everyone can debut on WWE television opposite John Cena, cut a money promo and immediately insert himself in one of the highest profile programs in the entire company. Yet, in May of 2015, that is exactly what Owens did. His poise on that night, standing directly opposite Cena, the lights none too bright and the moment none too big for the former ROH standout.

In his first pay-per-view match, he defeated Cena in what was a legitimate Match of the Year candidate. Competing in such a hotly anticipated match already brings with it a certain pressure to perform at the highest level imaginable. Working against the franchise star only intensified the pressure. Yet, despite the eyes of the wrestling world on him and expectations considerably high, he did not shrink. he rose to the occasion and delivered in what was the most important match of his career to that point.

Owens has done that repeatedly over the course of his main roster career, consistently delivering one of, if not the, best matches on the entire card. He has done it with Dean Ambrose, Dolph Ziggler, Neville and Roman Reigns. In many ways, he is the a workhorse, a guy who can be relied upon to deliver under the brightest lights, on the grandest stages or on a house show in front of 4,000 fans in Piedmont, North Dakota.

No moment is too big, no show too small. He is a big game player and makes sure every fan in every arena knows as much.
