This is what it all comes down to. Kurt Angle is still a big deal in professional wrestling. He’s going to sell tickets to the Hall of Fame ceremony. He's going to headline the show. The announcement of his return has created buzz not just in the wrestling world, but in the mainstream media. Fans are thrilled to see him back in WWE in any form. That's what the show is all about.

Due to all the great angles and matches he's had, he's established a bond with the audience over the years. He was a superhero or a pesky villain to kids who grew up during his time in WWE. To the older fans, they respected that he was the best in-ring worker in the company for quite some time. Seeing him back in WWE brings out some of those warm feelings, as it's good to see him receive a happy ending after going through some troubled times.

Then, there's the thought of him still wrestling one again. If he’s medically cleared, he has dream matches ahead of him with Kevin Owens, Sami Zayn, Seth Rollins and even A.J. Styles in the WWE environment. He could battle John Cena or The Undertaker once more, or help put some “new era” talent over. It's hard to say how many matches he has left in him, but anything he's up for would be a blast.

Even if Angle doesn’t ever wrestler another match, fans just want to see him come “home.” Now that we’ve seen The Rock, Goldberg, Sting and Brock debut or return to WWE over the past few years, Angle feels like the last big name missing from the family.

It's good to have him back, and a Hall of Fame induction is the least they could do for his long-awaited return.

As Rust Cohle from True Detective said "Life's barely long enough to get good at one thing. So be careful what you're good at." Sadly, I can't solve a murder like Rust...or change a tire, or even tie a tie. But I do know all the lyrics to Hulk Hogan's "Real American" theme song and can easily name every Natural Born Thriller from the dying days of WCW. I was once ranked 21st in the United States in Tetris...on the Playstation 3 version...for about a week. Follow along @AndrewSoucek and check out my podcast at wrestlingwithfriends.com
