10 Reasons May Is The Most Cursed Month In WWE History
7. Daniel Bryan's Neck Injury - 15th May 2014
WWE's disastrous May 2014 has been compounded by the loss of their champion Daniel Bryan. As the top star of Raw they couldn't afford to lose him, he was needed for the big european tour and had just received a massive push invested around him as the focal point of WrestleMania 30. All that is off the table. Bryan was diagnosed with a neck injury that required urgent surgery to relieve a nerve issue. The minimally invasive surgery was performed on the 15th of May and killed any chances of Bryan appearing on the important European tour. It could also see him missing the next two pay per view shows. With so many plans and licensing built on Bryan's image, this really is a big blow for the company, everything is having to be rethought on a daily basis right now. Unaware of how long Bryan's surgery will take to heal, the company are as in the dark as me or you. Disarray is reigning in the WWE. With the awful luck of the top star injured and the financial collapse, this really has been a cursed month for Vince McMahon in what was previously a buoyant 2014.
