10 Reasons NXT Is Better Viewing Than Raw And Smackdown

10. The Look And Feel Is Completely Different

The first thing you notice when turning on NXT for the first time is it looks completely different than Raw or Smackdown; which gives it a fresh feel. NXT is taped at Full Sail University in Orlando, Florida. The arena only seats around 400 people, so it is a more intimate setting. Even though there are only a few hundred fans, the crowd has great reactions and is typically really into the show and its wrestlers. Also the there is less lighting in the arena; which gives it a more gritty look. In comparison, Raw and Smackdown take place in large arenas that can seat up to 15,000 people with bright bells and whistles. While Raw is live, and you will get a true crowd reaction, but there are times where there is a disconnect in terms of the crowd and the action. It's even worse on Smackdown because the crowd reactions are piped in; which is kind of ridiculous seeing a crowd pop, but yet no one in the crowd is really reacting. The one downside to the TV-PG era is there are more families in the crowd, and so the reactions are not as heavy and passionate as they were in the Attitude Era.
