10 Reasons NXT Is Better Viewing Than Raw And Smackdown

4. The WWE Universe At Full Sail University Reminds You Of ECW Crowds

When you think about types of crowds that make the wrestling product better, the immediate one that come to mind is the ECW crowd. They were passionate, loud, brash, and even vulgar, but it made the atmosphere and it was a good pairing with the product that ECW put out there. Most of the ECW events were in Philadelphia or New York, so that could have something to do with the type of crowd they had, but still, it added so much to the product because it was an intimate setting where every single person in the crowd felt as if they are a part of the show. Now obviously there isn't a comparison between the NXT crowd and the ECW crowd in terms of personality, but those few hundred people that pack the arena at Full Sail for the NXT tapings are definitely a passionate group. Several times through one particular show you will witness the NXT crowd chanting many various things. Some great examples include "THAT WAS MANLY" for a good move that was done by the Vaudevillains, or "HOW YOU DOIN" for Enzo Amore & Big Cass. It definitely adds to the experience, and just like in ECW, everyone in that arena feels like they're a part of the show. For the bigger Raw & Smackdown shows, not everyone feels that immersion, and that is why there are times where the crowd doesn't come off as having a big pop on television.
