10 Reasons NXT Is Better Viewing Than Raw And Smackdown
3. NXT Wrestlers Have Unique Gimmicks To Separate Themselves
One of the reasons why the Attitude Era was so profitable was the fact that there were great characters at the top, but also there were great characters in the mid-card that the crowd could get behind and care about. For most of the past decade, the WWE mid-card has been very underdeveloped and has suffered from a lack of creative personalities. You can say the same for the wrestlers in the main event scene of the WWE today as well. The character doesnt have to be campy or flat out ridiculous like Doink The Clown, but there needs to be a personality that gets the WWE Universe interested in that wrestler. The Performance Center and NXT have been a great catalyst for developing personas within their characters, and one great example of an NXT graduate with this is Bray Wyatt. The current NXT roster is full of colorful characters that are entertaining and believable such as the New Jersey duo of Enzo Amore and Big Cass, the late 1800's theatrical throwback tag team of the Vaudevillains, the lone wolf in Baron Corbin, the narcissist selfie taking Tyler Breeze, and the high energy stay hyped man in Mojo Rollins just to name a few.
