10 Reasons NXT Is Better Viewing Than Raw And Smackdown

5. Tag Teams Mean Something In NXT

Tag teams have been a staple of pro wrestling history since the turn of the 20th century, but for the longest time the WWE has made it an after thought. There was some hope not that long ago when depth returned to the Tag Team division, but the break-up of teams like the Prime Time Players and more recently Rybaxel, along with Rowan and Harper being rebooted has killed the depth of the tag team division. Lately the focus is only on the feud for the title, and then have a comedy angle for other tag team matches. Los Matadores are the #1 contender for the tag titles if that tells you anything. Nothing against them personally, but they are not exciting and the bull El Torito steals the show more than they do. NXT has a refreshing focus on tag teams, which hopefully will carry over to the main roster as these young superstars progress. No team has had more success in the tag team division than The Ascension's Konnor and Viktor who held the titles for an impressive 364 days. Word has it that they have dropped the titles to get them ready for the main roster, possibly after the feud with Hideo Itami and Finn Balor ends. Aside from The Ascension, there are other great tag teams such as Enzo Amore & Big Cass, The Lucha Dragons, The Vaudevillains, and Wesley Blake & Buddy Murray. There are even more before them such as the Wyatts and Legionnaires. One thing that is for sure is that the tag team division is well built and strong in NXT.
