10 Reasons Randy Orton Must Return To WWE As The Legend Killer

7. The Top Heel Spot Is Very Much Open

Kevin Owens' Intercontinental Championship win on RAW shows there are still some lingering doubts on WWE's part as to his credentials as a main event performer. After defeating John Cena in his main roster debut match, KO seemed destined for the very top of the mountain, but things have taken a downward turn since then. That's not to say he couldn't get himself back up there with the right push behind him, but for now, that does not look to be the case. However, with WWE currently relucant to book Owens in the role, and with Seth Rollins on the shelf, the spot for main event heel is currently open. With the company seemingly transfixed on Roman Reigns becoming their next John Cena, and Dean Ambrose arguably the top babyface as things stand, neither of them are likely to turn anytime soon, meaning there is a ready-made main event heel spot for Randy to slot into when he returns.
