If Reigns loses at Royal Rumble, it is obvious he'll then challenge for the belt at WrestleMania. But if he retains his title, that leaves the number one contender for 'Mania in question. That, in turn, gives an opportunity for Fastlane to be far more interesting, as WWE can promote the February event around establishing the number one contender. It would have the appeal and drawing power of the Rumble, as fans will no doubt tune in to see who will be going to WrestleMania to face The Big Dog. It would be a smart move by WWE. By having Reigns retain, it makes the February special what the January special should have been. WWE are increasing the profile of Fastlane by placing such an important match on the cardf. Perhaps it will be an Elimination Chamber, with the winner going on to 'Mania or, if they wanted to be really bold, they could just hold another Rumble match.
