Vince McMahon has been noted to like wrestlers who were forced to battle adversity. Roman Reigns has certainly had plenty of that in the last year, and he came through it all like an absolute star. If you think back to last Mania season, he was absolutely loathed, yet he kept his head high and had the match of the night on three consecutive shows at Fastlane, WrestleMania and Extreme Rules. Indeed, Reigns has been tested time and time again, yet he's stayed strong and kept going. He had in fact started to get over big by the end of 2015, fans had finally came to accept him, only for the Royal Rumble creative to completely undo the good work.
