4. WWE Have Wanted Rousey For A Long Time
WWE's interest in using Rousey goes back a long way. She put herself on the pop culture landscape well over a year ago in the UFC, showing qualities of athleticism, beauty and charisma. The WWE took notice, especially when she started delivering excellent pay per view numbers for Dana White and company. Rousey was a guest of the WWE at SummerSlam 2014 and the charm campaign began in earnest. Stephanie McMahon even allowed Ronda to pour a bucket of ice over her head as part of the ALS Ice Bucket Challenge. From that point on, Stephanie would talk Ronda up whenever possible, including stating on Twitter that Rousey was a dream WWE Diva.
