Likely realizing that he's building for the much, much farther down the line future, Vince McMahon and crew realize that Daniel Bryan is a top babyface, and maybe in wrestling a less intense schedule and style of match (read as "non-main event") they can get more life out of him as a performer and draw. Unfortunately, in not finding a way to creatively de-push Daniel Bryan, the WWE Universe is forced to suffer the ignominy of seeing their number one hero lose and be seen as less of a key character in WWE.
