10 Reasons Sheamus Vs Daniel Bryan At WrestleMania 31 Is An Insult
5. Can WWE Find A Creative Way To Tell Us That Daniel Bryan Is A Shell Of Himself?
Let's stop for a second and realize that insofar as neck surgery survivors who have continued to wrestle in WWE as main eventers, there's Steve Austin who literally wrestled for three years after his surgery and retired. As well, there was Kurt Angle who was signed already one neck surgery into his career, and had a second surgery in 2003 that ultimately led to a myriad of issues that had Kurt Angle out of WWE by 2006. Likely realizing that he's building for the much, much farther down the line future, Vince McMahon and crew realize that Daniel Bryan is a top babyface, and maybe in wrestling a less intense schedule and style of match (read as "non-main event") they can get more life out of him as a performer and draw. Unfortunately, in not finding a way to creatively de-push Daniel Bryan, the WWE Universe is forced to suffer the ignominy of seeing their number one hero lose and be seen as less of a key character in WWE.
