10 Reasons To Believe CM Punk Will Never Return To WWE

7. A Return To Ring Of Honor Might Me More Feasible

CM Punk made his name on the indie circuit for years, honing his craft and creating a moveset, character, and demeanour that eventually millions would fall in love with. His formative years in the wrestling business were spent at Pennsylvanian promotion Ring Of Honor, and it was here that he first started to attract many people's attention. His feuds with the likes of Austin Aries, Samoa Joe, and ECW legend Raven resulted in some of the best matches in the promotion's history, and between 2002 and 2006, CM Punk was the wrestler that people wanted to see in WWE. Fast forward to 2012, after a year that had seen Punk drop his now-infamous 'pipe bomb' promo and had the entire wrestling world on the edge of their seats, WWE went about compiling a DVD of all of his greatest moments, titling it 'Best in the World'. Unlike almost every other WWE DVD, this release included footage not just from WWE's extensive video library, but also a lot on clips from Ring of Honor themselves, such was Punk's insistence over their importance. Even during the pipe bomb itself, he claimed that he would "maybe go back to Ring of Honor", before humourously quipping, "Hey Colt Cabana, how you doing?!" If there's one place that CM Punk would wrestle other than in the WWE, it's in Ring of Honor. After all, they do have a pay-per-view called 'Best In The World'...
