7. Fast Paced Lucha Action
http://youtu.be/6ugpgyh5fIo The big selling point for Lucha Underground in the big picture is going to be the talented group of AAA wrestling stars that they have. They can bring in all kinds of American wrestlers, but it's the talented masked, lucha libre performers that the Spanish speaking fans will care about the most. The show is broadcast in Spanish as well as English, so there are always going to be matches between traditional luchadores. The main event during the third episode was the introduction of three new stars as Fenix, Pentagón Jr. and Drago had a very entertaining triple threat match. It was a very fast paced match that went about ten minutes with a hot crowd that was appreciative for everything they did. A lot of fans watching this likely had no idea who these guys were, but by the end of it all we felt was that we wanted to see more of them. In addition to the traditional lucha performers, they have also featured minis. We're not talking about the way WWE does it where the little guys compete in comedy matches. In Lucha Underground, it's treated seriously. Hopefully they get more of a chance to show what they can do in front of an appreciative crowd. Matches like that are why we watch wrestling in the first place. There doesn't have to be promos or some long backstory for a match. Just put some talented guys in the ring, let them show off to the best of their abilities and hope that the people love it.
