People have been ruminating about a potential Big E vs. Roman Reigns feud since the 'Tribal Chief' burst back onto the scene like a majestic bastard in the summer of 2020. Frustrations grew when E was then placed in the Intercontinental Title hunt, won that belt then dropped it to Apollo Crews.

Now, E has something better than the IC crown - he has a guaranteed World Title push in-waiting, and he should do a better job of blending in some comedy than Otis did last year. Also, how nice was it of 2020 Otis to celebrate with the New Day man in that pic above there?

Only joking, obviously.

Seriously though, Big E becoming Mr. MITB is a good sign for him and SmackDown generally. There has been a sense that E was getting lost in the shuffle recently, so this win should do him the world of good.
