Arguments that WWE's ladder matches are tired and need some fresh inspiration have merit. Indeed, the entire briefcase trope is also rather played out by now, but damn...there's just something so fun about these car crash-style spot fests. Sometimes, that's all you want from your wrasslin'.

The men's match didn't disappoint then.

Kevin Owens took some stiff bumps, Drew McIntyre leapt over the top like this was 'Mania XXV, everyone else was Shawn Michaels and he was The Undertaker (although Drew landed his dive, thank God), and Ricochet got some shine in there too. Things are looking up for the flyer yet again, and long may that last.

Even those who are growing tired of ladder-breaking spots and all the bells and whistles that come along with these multi-man affairs would've enjoyed Sunday night's offering. Everyone, from KO, Drew, Ricochet, and 'King' Nakamura to Riddle, John Morrison, Seth Rollins and Big E, put in a right old shift.
