10 Reasons Why NXT TakeOver: The End Was Sadly Underwhelming
7. Everything About The Authors Of Pain
First of all, 10/10 dreadful team name. Burn it down and start again, please - you're not a trendy 90s rap duo.
Secondly, what is this sh*t? For a moment I questioned whether I'd accidentally switched to a clip of 3-Minute Warning from 2002.
Thirdly, NXT is going to be resigned to the overly muscular duo of Sunny Dhinsa and Gzim Selmani beating down on guys? It's like Vince McMahon was watching TakeOver: Dallas and thought the product was getting a little bit too enjoyable, so he fast-tracked the introduction of the brand's most muscular, generic dudes.
How many times have we had to see this sh*t?
Fourthly, despite what smarky fans who took to Twitter and Google to become 'informed' may tell you, Paul Ellering isn't that big of a deal. His return wasn't some 'oh my god' moment - understandably, the Full Sail crowd had no idea who he is despite his Hall of Fame credentials. Ellering's return is fun considering his history, but it's not world-breaking, especially when managing 'Roids McGee I and II.
What a kick in the face to have the enigmatic American Alpha lose the Tag Team Championship in their first defence and be thrown to the mercy of this reboot duo. You're damn right I'm salty. At least maybe Johnny Gargano and Tommaso Ciampa will get a shot at the titles now.
