10 Reasons Why NXT TakeOver: The End Was Sadly Underwhelming
6. Asuka Vs. Nia Jax Didn't Click
Other fans may see this another way, but the completely different in-ring styles of Women's Champion Asuka and Nia Jax didn't seem to click.
Although only given 10 minutes, the pair seemed to spend most of the contest playing a game of chicken around the ring. Of course it was intended to make Jax look like a fearsome opponent, but it came off as two competitors unsure of what to do in their allotted time.
No sooner had the match truly begun, it was over. Whether this is down to the time constraints or even a language barrier, the match did neither of the competitors justice, especially Jax.
It's disappointing considering the time that was put into Nia Jax to make her appear to be a title threat. No doubt she was impressive against a familiar foe in Bayley and took complete control of both Carmella and Alexa Bliss, but this match had to be better than it was or it would all be for nothing. Sadly, Jax and Asuka appeared to be on separate pages.
