10 Reasons Why Roman Reigns Must Return As A Heel
2. People Hate Him
I've touched on this a time or two, but WWE fans don't like Roman Reigns. At all. It isn't that booing him is so much fun (no matter what the announcers say), or that he's "polarising," with some fans cheering him. The WWE Universe hates Reigns, and they're not shy about passionately letting him know it.
Does Reigns deserve all the hate? No, but it's really irrelevant, because it's his.
Making matters worse is the fact he'll be coming off a suspension (which most fans, accurately or not, assume is for taking performance-enhancing drugs) and straight into a Pay-Per-View main event. The audience will not respond well to that, to say the least. If WWE thought Reigns's reception was bad before, they're in for a whole new level of antipathy.
For over a year and a half, WWE has kept Roman Reigns a face despite an overwhelming negative reaction. That's commendable, I guess, if you're the kind of person who commends pigheaded stubbornness rather than smart reaction and adaptability. Either way, it's over. The experiment is done. It failed. Move on.
Fans hate Roman Reigns. He should be a heel.
