10 Reasons Why Roman Reigns Must Turn Heel At WWE Survivor Series
10. It's The Only Booking Decision That Doesn't Hurt Reigns
By simple logic, there are three possible outcomes to Survivor Series's tournament - either Reigns wins the title and turns, he wins the title and doesn't turn, or he fails to win the title. Of those three options, only the first doesn't hurt Reigns's momentum and make him look weak. If Reigns wins the title as a babyface, his big moment runs the risk of coming off flat. After all, there's one show a year that everybody watches, and it's not the Survivor Series. WWE isn't wrong to be worried about giving Reigns the 'Mania push again, but whether he's contending for the title at WrestleMania 32 or defending it, he still may be booed by the international crowd. At least his capturing the belt at the company's all-time biggest show would show that WWE is committed to his push - like it did for Michaels, Austin, and Cena. Even worse would be if Reigns fails to win the title simply so the company can build up to a WrestleMania moment. Though the company has downplayed it, Reigns has already had several title shots (Money in the Bank 2014, Battleground 2014, WrestleMania 31, Payback 2015), and while he hasn't been beaten, he has failed to make good on his opportunities. If he doesn't get the job done at Survivor Series - even due to a screwy finish like Ambrose turning on his friend - it's a fifth choke for the future champion. Reigns must win the title, and he must turn heel.
